Pricing details for Resident Evil 9 Requiem have begun appearing ahead of official pre-order listings. According to posts from the fan-run account Resident Evil 9 REQUIEM Info/Countdown, the upcoming survival horror title will cost €80 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, and €70 on Nintendo Switch 2. In the United States, the standard edition is expected to launch at $70 for PS5 and Xbox, while Switch 2 owners will see a lower $60 price point.
The report notes that pre-orders for the game have started surfacing on various retail sites, though Capcom has not yet made a formal announcement regarding editions or bonuses. The pricing structure mirrors Capcom’s recent approach with other major releases, including Dragon’s Dogma II and Monster Hunter Wilds, both of which launched with a $70 price tag on current-generation consoles.
This marks a notable shift from earlier entries in the franchise. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village both launched at $59.99 for their standard editions, while deluxe versions typically added $10. Collector’s editions varied significantly, with Resident Evil Village reaching $219.99 and Resident Evil 4 Remake going as high as $249.99, often bundled with statues, maps, artbooks, and digital extras.
Resident Evil 9 Requiem introduces a new protagonist, FBI agent Grace Ashcroft, who is dispatched to a hotel where a string of grisly deaths has taken place. The game was officially revealed during Summer Game Fest 2025 and is set to release on February 27, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC.
