Fortnite was updated to version 1.008. by Epic Games today on the PS5. It was also updated for PC. Here are the patch notes for this update.
Epic Games is continuing to update Fortnite adding new features to it, but this time, they have opted to release a quick hotfix for the PS5 and PC version of the game.
Fortnite Update 1.008 Patch Notes December 17
We’ve released a maintenance patch on PC and PlayStation 5. On PC, this is to address stability. On PlayStation 5, this is to address Fortnite outputting at 1080p instead of 4K when not in 120 FPS Mode for players using certain displays. With the release of this patch, for the “120 FPS Mode” option to appear in Fortnite on PS5, please make sure “Performance Mode” is enabled in your console settings (Save Data and Game/App Settings > Game Presets > Performance Mode). For players who prefer 4K over 120 FPS, please make sure “Performance Mode” isn’t enabled in your PS5 console settings.
