Zeekerss’ co-op indie horror game, Lethal Company, is currently available in early access on PC, and if you’ve been looking for a mod that brings 8 player gameplay, read ahead.

By default, Lethal Company only supports up to 4 players, but with the MoreCompany mod (download  here) applied, players can experience the game in 8 player teams. The mod is fairly simple to install, and you should be ready to team up with 7 of your friends in no time.

How To Install Lethal Company Mod For 8 Player Gameplay

In order to install the MoreCompany mode, follow the steps listed below.

  1. Install BepinEx
  2. Place BepInEx/plugins/MoreCompany.dll in your BepInEx/plugins folder
  3. Make sure everyone joining you has this mod installed

In in order to accommodate the larger player size, the scavenge results screen has been modified to fit 8 players and will show their missing/deceased/alive states accordingly, the spectating screen properly fits greater than 4 players if they die, and the quickmenu player volume section accounts for greater than 4 players, with a scrollable UI.

As of writing, the latest build of the MoreCompany mode is version 1.4.2, which fixed an issue with death screen rendering above the results screen. Future updates are said to potentially add some more cosmetics.

Lethal Company is an indie horror video game currently available in early access, featuring co-op gameplay. The game incorporates elements of exploration, survival horror, roguelike, and strategy. It takes place in a retrofuturistic post-apocalyptic dystopian setting. Players assume the role of contracted workers for the Company. The main objective in Lethal Company is to collect scrap from abandoned, industrialized moons to fulfill the Company’s profit quota.

The game emphasizes a balance between risk and reward, with a primary focus on exploration, survival, and strategy. The atmosphere is realistic, presenting players with intense situations such as dismemberment or decapitation via hostile creatures or environmental hazards.
