Yuria the Witch is a significant character in Demon’s Souls that players can meet and save. This guide will help you locate and rescue her in the game.
Locating Yuria the Witch
Yuria can be found in World 1-3. To save her, you will need to obtain specific keys. First, you must progress through most of World 1-3. After completing this area, return to World 1-2 to acquire another key. To access the area where Yuria is located, you will also need to disguise yourself as a Fat Official by wearing the Official’s Cap.
Once you successfully rescue Yuria, she will appear in the Nexus and offer to teach you advanced black magic using Demon’s Souls. You can find her spell list in the Magic/Miracles section of the game.
Background on Yuria
Yuria was imprisoned by the Fat Officials for using her black magic during their siege on Bolitaria Palace. It is noted that the officials captured several witches and executed them, as indicated by the remains of Stockpile Thomas’ wife and daughter, who were found holding spice.
Potential Risks
Be cautious, as Yuria can also be killed inadvertently. If you lose the Official’s Cap, you can still eliminate her by throwing a Firebomb near the first window upstairs where she is located, without descending the staircase. She will walk to the edge after becoming hostile, at which point you can attack her by throwing arrows.
