Sega has updated Virtua Fighter 5 and Virtua Fighter eSports today. This minor hotfix is available on the PS4 now as seen with the patch notes.
The new patch notes were listed by Sega on their website. The developers have implemented a bug fix related o the warm-up period of Normal and Kumite matches. It led to a deadlock where players weren’t able to progress to the matches even if they set their status to OK. Sega has said that the known issues that they had previously reported will be fixed in a later update so for now, check the latest update patch notes below.

■Bug fixes:
Fixed a bug in the warm-up period of Normal matches and Kumite matches which was preventing players from progressing to matches after setting their status to OK.
We had previously announced that known issues reported in Ver. 1.04 would be fixed in the next update, however these issues will be fixed in a future patch. We apologize for any inconvenience these issue have caused. Thank you for your patience.
