Tormented Souls update 1.05 was released today by PQube. You can find out the complete patch notes for this update from here.
According to the patch notes that were shared by the developers on Steam, the spiters being invincible bug has been fixed with a new update. This patch was released earlier for PC but it is out now for consoles.

This is a brand new survival horror game that takes inspiration from the fixed-camera perspective of older games and attempts to redefine the genre for modern audiences. It also has multiple endings.
