The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition has received a new update that is aimed at resolving various visual and performance issues reported by the game’s players. The update, v1.1, is currently being rolled out to players on PlayStation 5 and PC platforms such as Steam, Epic Games Store, and GoG.
While the update does not address all the issues reported by players, the game’s developers are committed to continuing to address these issues in future patches. Xbox Series X|S and Microsoft Store players are also urged to exercise some patience as the v1.1 patch is expected to be available to them by the middle of next week.

The new update includes several fixes to improve the game’s visual and performance aspects. For PC players with high-end graphics cards, the settings for Ultra and Very High graphic modes have been adjusted to enhance their gaming experience. There have also been updates to the SSR values to improve the cinematic mode on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation®5, and dynamic resolution on PC has been updated as well.
Furthermore, there have been significant improvements in the game’s performance, stability, and general gameplay experience. For instance, there have been improvements to mitigate hitching during shader compilation on PSO, and SSGI auto settings have been updated to prevent unexpected toggling. In addition, several issues that resulted in crashes, flickering textures, and invisible enemies have been fixed across all platforms.
The update also includes various HLOD improvements aimed at reducing popping on all platforms, as well as reduced hair glowing, skin shading issues and improved texture resolution on the Xbox Series S.
