Stellaris Console Edition has been updated to version 4.02 today by Paradox Interactive. You can find out the complete patch notes from here.
A patch for the Console Edition 2.8 ‘Butler’ version was published this morning. This new version fixes several of the issues that have been reported by the community since the 2.8 release, as well as some crashing difficulties. The updated version numbers for Xbox (4.2.0.0) and PlayStation (4.2.0.0) should be available soon (04.02). If you don’t see this update, restart your console and check for updates manually. Save compatibility across versions is not guaranteed. If you continue to have crashing difficulties after installing the hotfix, please create a fresh save and submit a bug report.
