NBA 2K23 Update 1.02 Patch Notes: What’s New In September 19 Update

NBA 2K23 update 1.02 is already out now despite the game launching last week. You can get the patch notes for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series here.

This new update appears to follow reports from the players regarding the various issues that they were experiencing regarding the gameplay. Mike Wang, who is the gameplay director for NBA 2K mentioned that they will be releasing a hotfix to address post shots/hooks that are currently immune to contests.

  • Improved the stability of the title in addition to a number of general improvements to the user experience.

Here is the statement shared by Mike Wang.

Post shots/hooks are currently immune to contests. This will be hotfixed tomorrow morning. The other bug where post hooks can green w/o releasing the stick is known and still being investigated. Tomorrow’s fix should keep hooks in check until we can address it.

In addition to the hotfix that was deployed at the end of last week, they are working on resolving more of the issues that are being reported. According to the official 2K Twitter, this is for stability fixes on the PS5 and Xbox Series X and there are no gameplay changes implemented in this patch.

One of the fixes that are being mentioned by users is regarding main quests. If you were stuck with signing a shoe deal to continue your progress, that should be resolved now.
