NBA 2K22 has been updated to version 1.04 today by 2K Sports. You can find out the complete patch notes for this update from here.
2K Sports has released a number of fixes and improvements for the game today with the patch. The official changelog is not available as of yet, but you can find a general list of fixes below.
NBA 2K22 Update 1.04 Patch Notes
- Improved the stability of the title in addition to a number of general improvements to the user experience.
- New loading menu for MyTeam
- It is possible to buy boost from phone
Here is a list of known issues compiled on reddit.
General
- Bug: Images uploaded to nba2k.com can take hours to show up in-game, or sometimes don’t show up at all. Wasn’t a problem in previous years.
- If this is because of a new screening step, update the site with a notice to reduce player confusion.
- Suggestion: Update player action photos once the new NBA season begins, haven’t been updated for 2 years.
Gameplay
- Bug (?): Alley-oops are too easily intercepted, defenders jump unrealistically high to block them. [Video 1, Video 2]
- Bug: Logic for Player of the Game needs improvement, it is sometimes awarded to players who do poorly. [Video]
- Suggestion: Help defenders should be able to contest an opponent’s shot using the right stick, even if the help defender’s matchup arrow has not locked on to the shooter yet.
- Suggestion: Quick X/square taps should lead to an intentional foul to penalize steal-spamming.
Art/Likeness
- Hawks Icon jerseys have incorrect colors on the collar, should be flipped. [Picture (2K22), Picture (real)]
- Damian Lillard has a new chest tattoo. [Picture]
- Lakers Mamba jerseys look gray-ish in the game, should be black. [Picture]
- 76ers arena stanchion should be blue. [Picture]
- Hawks team colors need to be updated, they no longer use neon green. [Picture 1 (2K22), Picture 2 (2K22)]
Play Now/Quick Play
- Bug: Can’t load a custom roster for 2KU Freestyle, have to use a workaround by loading the custom roster into Blacktop. [Video]
MyPLAYER (Builds/Badges)
- Bug: After saving a custom jumpshot and opening it again in the jumpshot creator, different base and release will be selected. Visual bug? [Video]
- Suggestion: Enable editing attributes/badges/animations from the practice facility.
- Suggestion: Make Takeover selection a part of badge loadouts.
- Suggestion: Include information on animation attribute thresholds on the MyPlayer Builder screen.
MyCAREER — Quests
Bug: ‘Dev Coach Challenge’ quests can’t progress because player cannot enter coach’s office. [Video]- Bug: Quests to win Rookie of the Year and MVP are not completing for some players.
- Bug (?): Adidas and New Balance level 1 endorsements don’t give On Court Shoes like the others.
- Typo: ‘Purchasing a Studio’ quest objectives have grammar issues. [Picture 1 (Music), Picture 2 (Fashion)]
MyCAREER — NBA Career
- Bug: Some players are stuck on a black screen after NBA games and post-game interviews. Closing app and re-playing the game does not solve the issue, so these players are stuck in a loop.
- Workaround is to join a friend’s City/Park, and not play any new NBA games in the meantime.
- Bug: Saving and quitting an NBA game resets player indicator and green release SFX.
- Bug: Badge progression meters shown during timeouts and halftime are jittery. [Video]
- Bug: Edit Playbooks ability crashes the game for some players when they attempt to edit or assign plays.
- Bug: Influence Free Agency ability does not work, player’s selections do not save and disappear after exiting the menu.
- Bug: Legacy issue — MyPlayer is invisible during championship celebration. [Video]
- Bug: Missing from presentation in NBA games, works in college and in other game modes:
- Action replays
- Mobile 1 blocks
- State Farm assists
- AT&T dunks
- David Aldridge pregame interview
- Halftime show
- Player of the Game
- Typo: Italian translations “Defensive Breakdown” is translated as “Analisi difesa”, but that means “Defensive Analysis”. Should be something like “Errore in difesa”.
- Suggestion: If you win a coach’s challenge, you should get back the teammate grade you lost.
MyCAREER — Park/Pro-Am/Rec
- Bug: Environment art sometimes disappears on current-gen. [Video]
- Suggestion: Increase number of VIP daily spin wheels on current-gen.
- Suggestion: Implement a mercy rule for Rec games, could be voted on by both team’s players.
- Suggestion: Increase XP from Old Gym games to be more in line with Park/Rec XP.
MyTEAM
Bug: Shoe boosts and badges do not work in Domination games. The actual shoe is also not equipped on the player’s feet. [Video]- Bug: In Domination, the Wizards do not make substitutions.
- Bug: Players are sometimes receiving losses when their opponent quits a TT Online game.
MyNBA
- Bug: When looking at a draft class, opening a player card only shows the card for the first player in the list, no matter which player is selected. [Video]
- Bug: MyNBA Online game results sometimes do not save.
