The only thing that was revealed by the developers is that new weekly challenges are coming to the Legends multiplayer mode. This includes Nightmare Story and Survival missions with unique modifiers. Beating them would lead to max-level gear or players can re-challenge The Tale of Iyo for weekly rewards.
