Fortnite Update 3.85 Patch Notes 24.01 is out now for PC, Consoles, and Smartphones. You can get the details on the patch notes here.
Fortnite players can now expect some minor improvements and fixes to the game with the new update v3.85, also known as patch notes 24.01, which has been released on March 20, 2023. As is customary, the downtime for this update began at 04:00 AM ET (08:00 UTC) and matchmaking was disabled 30 minutes before the downtime.
While players may have been hoping for something big, it appears that this update is mainly focused on providing some final touches to the upcoming release of Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) which is scheduled for Wednesday at 12pm ET. UEFN is a new PC application for designing, developing, and publishing games and experiences directly into Fortnite.
In terms of gameplay, there are some issues that have been reported by the players. In the General category, players have noted that zip lines are missing in Party Royale, and post-party loading is slow on iOS. In Battle Royale, firing a weapon while sprinting and jumping may not register the hit, controller inputs don’t work on PC when spectating, and wind currents are temporarily disabled. In Creative mode, damage is not taken in Creative edit mode.
It is important to note that there are no new cosmetics in this update, so players can expect to see the same collection of skins and outfits in the game.
