Elite Dangerous has been updated to version 1.52 today bringing in a major fix that was long requested by fans as seen in the patch notes.
The Pulse Wave Analyser is a utility module used in mining. Activating it while within a planetary ring or asteroid cluster emits a fast-moving pulse of energy that will briefly highlight any asteroids with lucrative deposits within range. This was a bug that basically deactivated the Pulse Wave Analyser after the last major update. It has been fixed now.
