The latest update for Elden Ring, Version 1.10, has been released across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam platforms. The update brings a host of changes, primarily focusing on PvP-exclusive balance adjustments, general balance tweaks, and bug fixes.
The PvP-exclusive balance adjustments, which do not affect single-player or cooperative play, include an increase in poise damage for all weapons, some spells, and incantations. The update also boosts poise when attacking with certain skills, spells, incantations, and weapon types that generate poise. Additionally, damage reduction has been added when performing attacks with some skills, spells, and incantations, and certain weapon attacks that generate poise. The invulnerability window of the Quick Step and Hound’s Step skills has been decreased, and the damage reduction granted by some skills, incantations, and items has also been reduced.
In terms of general balance adjustments, the update increases critical hit damage and poise damage of attacks that occur after missing a critical hit. The recovery time after a missed critical hit has been decreased.
Several bug fixes and other changes have also been implemented. These include an adjustment to the player damage animation to prevent unintentional shift in attack direction when getting hit while attacking with certain weapons that generate poise. Bugs that prevented some spells and incantations from causing damage under the effect of certain skills and items have been fixed. The update also corrects a bug that allowed the effects of the Sacred Order skill to continue after switching weapons.
In addition to these changes, some text corrections have been made in certain languages. Following the update, the version number displayed at the lower right corner of the Title Screen will be App Ver. 1.10 and Regulation Ver. 1.10. To engage in online play, players are required to apply this update.
