Yakuza fans aren’t happy with Sega’s promotional choices for Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s upcoming role-playing game, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
After Sega chose streamer xQc to do an early stream of the opening section of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Yakuza fans took to social media in order to protest against the decision.

Those who have pre-ordered a digital copy of the game can pre-load the game on Xbox platforms starting today on January 6, 2024. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth serves as the ninth mainline installment in the Yakuza series. It is a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon (2020) and the spin-off title Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (2023). The game’s protagonists include Ichiban Kasuga, the main character from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Kazuma Kiryu, the original protagonist of the series. The narrative unfolds in the franchise’s first-ever overseas setting, Hawaii, alongside familiar locations in Japan. Kasuga and Kiryu, supported by both old and new allies, join forces to assist Kasuga in locating and reuniting with his mother in Hawaii, while Kiryu grapples with the challenges of battling cancer.
