Xbox Is Interested In Fallout 5 Release Happening Sooner

Microsoft and Xbox are interested in the release of the next entry in the Fallout series, likely Fallout 5, happening sooner rather than later.

Speaking during the latest episode of The Xbox Two podcast, co-host Jez Corden claimed that Xbox would like to see a potential Fallout 5 release happen sooner rather than having to wait for Bethesda Softworks to finish work on The Elder Scrolls VI. He said that he expects the next Fallout game to be released within the current decade.

Corden mentioned that, instead of Bethesda Softworks, another studio will likely take charge of the game’s development. Based on his guess and also the most logical choice for Xbox, that studio would be none other than Obsidian Entertainment. He said that the higher ups at Xbox know that they can’t let the release of the next entry in the Fallout take an unreasonably long amount of time. Given the success of the Fallout TV series, we’re inclined to agree.
