They mentioned receiving verifiable evidence that indicates a remake of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is currently in development. However, they didn’t mention the name of the project’s developer. Additionally, the aren’t a 100% sure the remake will see the light of day, though the evidence itself seems compelling.

Another interesting pattern to note is that Sony Interactive Entertainment has consistently released a remake of a first party title every two years since the release of Shadow of the Beast in 2016, followed by Shadow of the Colossus in 2018, Demon’s Souls in 2020, The Last of Us Part 1 in 2022, Until Dawn in 2024. This suggests that the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune remake, if it indeed exists, will likely see the light of day in the year 2026.

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is a 2007 action adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Serving as the first installment in the Uncharted series, it hit the PlayStation 3 market in November 2007. The game’s narrative revolves around Nathan Drake, believed to be the descendant of explorer Sir Francis Drake, on a quest for the lost treasure of El Dorado alongside journalist Elena Fisher and mentor Victor Sullivan.

The gameplay in Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune blends action adventure elements with 3D platforming. The game is played from a third-person perspective. The platforming enable the protagonist, Nathan Drake, to perform actions like jumping, swimming, grabbing, ledge navigation, climbing, swinging from ropes, and other acrobatic maneuvers. These abilities empower players to traverse the ruins scattered across the diverse areas of the island explored by Drake.
