Stalker 2 developer GSC Game World had stopped the development of the game temporarily but it appears it is now again a work in progress.
In a question and answer session on their discord channel, one of the community managers at GSC Game World mentioned in reply to a fan that the development of the game has continued after it was temporarily put on hold due to the war.
Another user asked if the work on the game is in progress, to which the community manager replied with a confirmation that it is indeed in progress. They also talked about how they are not ready to reveal their content roadmap beforehand so fans have to wait for further updates for the game.
Stalker 2 is launching for the Xbox Series X and PC. It will also release on Xbox Game Pass on the same day. The game is confirmed to be a timed console exclusive that will be available on other platforms at a later date, or at least this was the original plan for the game.
The game was initially set for a release in early 2022 but it was later delayed. The developers also faced some backlash earlier after they decided to add NFTs to the game, but their plans changed and they decided to step away from implementing them in the game.
The game is currently slated for a launch on December 8 for PC and Xbox Series X.
