Square Enix, a renowned video game developer, and publisher, has recently launched a free update for its strategy role-playing game, The DioField Chronicle. The update, named ver1.20, is available on various platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The latest update of The DioField Chronicle adds new content to enhance the gameplay experience for its fans. Players can explore five new main missions and two sub-missions, along with new gear, skills, and a formidable boss, Behemoth. The game’s unique Real-Time Tactical Battle (RTTB) system has also been enhanced to provide players with a more immersive and challenging gameplay experience.
The update also features a new playable character, Waltaquin Redditch, whom fans of the game will recognize from the main story. Players can now assume the role of Waltaquin and enjoy the new missions, explore a new map area known as the Basement (Camp), and utilize Waltaquin’s new weapon type, “Magic Tomes,” which spawns Skeletal Knights into battle and transforms units into Skeletal Dragons.
The DioField Chronicle is set in a fantasy world that combines medieval and modern-day elements. The game follows the story of the Kingdom of Alletain, situated on DioField Island, and its elite mercenaries called the “Blue Fox.” The update adds a new level of difficulty to the game with the addition of the “Very Hard” mode and Extra Mode as part of New Game+.
