Pocketpair, the developer behind the popular game Palworld, has announced that February 28, 2025, will be a special non-working day for most of its employees. The decision follows a surge of “mysterious” notices from staff members who reported that they might be feeling unwell and unable to work on that day.
The announcement, made via the company’s official channels, humorously acknowledges the influx of these unexpected leave requests. In response, Pocketpair has chosen to grant a special leave day for the majority of its employees. However, the company assures that ongoing development and updates for Palworld and Craftopia will not be impacted, emphasizing that scheduled updates are progressing as planned.
Pocketpair shared an official statement on its social media, outlining the details of the special leave. The notice states that all employees, except those in certain departments, will be given February 28 off. The company does not explicitly link this decision to any specific event, but the timing coincides with the highly anticipated launch of Monster Hunter Wilds, the upcoming action RPG from Capcom.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set to release on February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
