Whitethorn Games and BAFTA Award-nominated developer Polygon Treehouse are excited to announce that their upcoming “friend-em-up” adventure game, Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island, will be part of this year’s LudoNarraCon digital event. During the festival, which runs from May 4th to May 8th, attendees can visit the Mythwrecked Steam page to play the first public demo of the game, uncovering the mysteries of Ambrosia Island and befriending its divine inhabitants.
In Mythwrecked, players assume the role of backpacker Alex, who finds herself stranded on the beautiful Ambrosia Island. As she explores, she discovers that the gods of Greek myth and legend inhabit the island, but they have lost their memories. To find her way home, Alex must befriend the inhabitants and help them recover their memories.
The non-linear adventure allows players to explore the dynamic island, unravel its story, and build friendships with the gods through a unique relationship mechanic. As players grow closer to the gods, they become more willing to help Alex with their divine powers. Solve the mystery of Ambrosia Island, save the gods, and find a way for Alex to return home.
Key Features of Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island include:
- Gods Among Us: Encounter gods such as Ares, Athena, Hermes, and Hades on Ambrosia Island, with the Ambrosidex to help track them down.
- Treasure in the Sandbox: Use the Ambrosidex’s radar signal to hunt for lost godly treasures hidden across the island and return them to their rightful owners to rekindle their memories.
- Conversational Wizard: Explore the island, examine objects and locations, and engage in conversations to unlock new topics, with some sensitive subjects off-limits until you’ve earned a god’s friendship.
- Greek Legend: Experience a non-linear, emotional story about the importance of friendship, family, and community.
Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island will be available on PC via Steam.
