Mortal Kombat 12 Reportedly Launching Next Year; One of The Returning Fighters Teased

JoelBy JoelMarch 6, 2022No Comments2 Mins Read

Mortal Kombat 12 has yet to get an official announcement but there has been a new rumor suggesting it is coming out as soon as next year.

This is according to a reliable leaker who previously shared information on Mortal Kombat 11 and has now dropped in to do the same for Mortal Kombat 11.

r00000r is a leaker on the messaging board GameFAQs who has been quite active in the past to leak information on Mortal Kombat 11. They correctly shared information on several of the fighters in the game before any official confirmation. The same leaker has dropped in to reveal that NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive will release Mortal Kombat 12 next year.

The user also teased that one of the fighters that will make a return in the next game is Reiko. He first appeared in Mortal Kombat 4 and was last seen in Mortal Kombat 9. This would be one of the many returning characters for the upcoming sequel.

A new Mortal Kombat game is not a big surprise considering how Mortal Kombat 11 was released in 2019 and while an expansion followed it in 2020, the game has been out for quite a while. It is only logical to assume that a successor is coming later in 2023, but there hasn’t been any official announcement and only rumors so far.
