More PlayStation Classics Discovered On PlayStation Backend, Will Be Available For PS Plus Premium

JoelBy JoelApril 28, 2022Updated:April 29, 2022No Comments2 Mins Read

PS Plus Premium is a new subscription tier for all the PlayStation Plus subscribers that want to have an extended games library.

The new subscription service will be rolled out across the globe beginning in June. It is first being phased out in Asia in May and will be gradually released for Japan, Europe, and the Americas.

Some of the games that are expected to be a part of the new backward-compatible library on the PS4 and PS5 have already leaked online, and more are being discovered.

The first proper leak regarding the PS Classics was discovered through a listing on the Korean Rating Board. This confirmed the entire Syphon Filter franchise will be available on this subscription service.

  • Syphon Filter 1
  • Syphon Filter 2
  • Syphon Filter 3
  • Syphon Filter Dark Mirror
  • Syphon Filter Logan’s Shadow

In addition to this, it appears that more games are starting to make their way on the PlayStation Backend. According to a user on Reddit, the following new games have been recently added to the PlayStation Database.

PS Plus Premium will offer more than 300 games across PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3. The PS3 games will be playable through Cloud streaming while the rest of the games will be playable normally through download. The Korean rating board leak mentioned Syphon Filter Dark Mirror and Logan’s Shadow, which were for the PS2 and PSP.

The new discovery has more PS1 games listed including Tekken 2, Ridge Racers 2, and Mr. Driller. These are from Bandai Namco so it is likely that they are supporting this new initiative from Sony.
