Little Nightmares III Announced: A New Chapter of Fear with Online Co-op Coming in 2024

Bandai Namco Europe has unveiled the latest addition to the critically acclaimed Little Nightmares franchise. Developed by Supermassive Games, Little Nightmares III is set to be released in 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

For the first time in the series, Little Nightmares III introduces online co-op gameplay. Players can now face their childhood fears with a friend, taking on the roles of two new characters, Low or Alone, in the dreadful world of the Spiral. The game will also be fully playable in single-player mode, with AI controlling the second character.

Players will follow the journey of Low and Alone, two friends trapped in the Nowhere, seeking a way to escape. They must navigate through the Spiral, a world filled with perilous threats such as the Monster Baby in the Necropolis. Each character wields an iconic item—a bow and arrow for Low, a wrench for Alone—that will be essential in solving puzzles and aiding their quest for freedom.

Expanding the Universe – The Sounds of Nightmares:

In addition to the game announcement, Bandai Namco Europe has launched The Sounds of Nightmares, a six-episode podcast series. The podcast follows the story of Noone, a young girl committed to the Counties Psychiatric Institute to confront her worsening nightmares. Under the care of Otto, the Counsellor, their intertwined past and nightmares seem destined to collide. The first two episodes are available at www.thesoundsofnightmares.com.

Little Nightmares III promises to be a thrilling addition to the franchise, with the introduction of online co-op gameplay and new characters.
