Rumors of a Nintendo Direct presentation in February 2025 have reignited after prominent insider PH Brazil reiterated their confidence in the event’s occurrence, citing the same source that accurately leaked the August 2024 Direct.
In a recent Famiboards post, PH Brazil provided an update, stating: “Just talked overnight with my source… they still insist some form of Direct is happening this month. This is the same person who clued me in to the August presentation last year.” They acknowledged, however, that unlike the August Direct—which was corroborated by secondary sources—this month’s rumored event lacks additional confirmation.
PH Brazil’s credibility stems from being the sole leaker to correctly predict the timing and content of Nintendo’s August 2024 Direct. At the time, they shared details “all the way to the day it was announced,” a track record they now leverage to defend their current claim. Still, they adopted a cautious tone: “Not really going to try speculating on what this could mean… we’ll soon see.”
The insider initially hinted at a February Direct a week prior, doubling down despite silence from other reliable leakers like NateTheHate or Pyoro. In their earlier post, PH Brazil noted: “Regardless, as far as I’m aware I was the only person who knew and talked about the August Direct… so from my perspective what’s happening now isn’t enough to make me doubt my sources yet.”
Nintendo has confirmed a Direct focused on the Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled for April 2. Additionally, a Pokémon Presents event is set to take place later this month. While there’s still time for Nintendo to announce a Direct for February, fans won’t have to wait long to find out if this will happen. Next week could be crucial in determining whether a Nintendo Direct is planned for this month, and if it will be announced in advance or surprise-dropped without prior notice.
