Hell Let Loose’s Latest Update Unveils British Eighth Army and German Africa Corps

Team17 Digital has announced the release of Update 14.5 for its acclaimed World War II strategic shooter, Hell Let Loose. This update marks a significant enhancement to the game’s British Forces, which were introduced earlier this year, and adds two new forces: the British Eighth Army and the German Africa Corps.

The update has been shaped significantly by community feedback, leading to numerous improvements across the game. Players will now have access to updated maps, including Driel and El Alamein, which feature new times of day settings, adding a fresh dynamic to gameplay. El Alamein will be set at dusk, offering a foggy battlefield scenario, while Driel will be immersed in the challenges of night warfare.

In addition to the map updates, Update 14.5 introduces new uniforms specific to the newly added forces. These include the British Eighth Army MK-II Helmet, DAK Helmet, and DAK Field Cap. The weapons arsenal of the game has also expanded, featuring the M1928A1 Thompson and the SMLE No.1 Mk III, which replaces the Pattern 1914. A bipod has also been added to the Bren, enhancing the gameplay experience.

A notable addition is the Churchill Mk III Tank, further diversifying the game’s vehicle options. These updates are expected to bring new tactics and strategies to the forefront, offering players an enriched and more authentic World War II combat experience.

Greg Medlin, Community Manager at Hell Let Loose, expressed excitement about the launch of Patch 14.5. He highlighted the enhanced battle dynamics on El Alamein, which require players to adapt to the dusk setting and fog conditions, potentially altering the course of victory. Medlin also extended gratitude to the community for their participation in the Public Test Environment (PTE), emphasizing that their feedback was crucial in refining the update.

Hell Let Loose offers an immersive World War II experience, featuring team-based gameplay across various roles in infantry, recon, and armor units. Each role provides a unique gameplay experience, contributing to the game’s dynamic and strategic nature.

The game is set to be free-to-play for a limited time on Xbox and PC platforms from November 30 to December 4, and later for PlayStation users from December 20 to December 25, providing an excellent opportunity for new players to experience the game.
