The length of the main story featured in Rockstar Games’ next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, GTA VI, has possibly been revealed.
Twitter/X user LegacyKillaHD, who is followed by the official Rockstar Games Twitter/X account, has possibly revealed the length of the main story in GTA VI. According to them, the main story in the next Grand Theft Auto title won’t be as lengthy as that of Red Dead Redemption 2, which came in at around 50 to 60 hours.
As per the Twitter/X user, the main story in GTA VI will be around 30 to 40 hours long. They mentioned that Red Dead Redemption 2’s main story was an outlier in terms of length for a non-role-playing game. They also pointed out that the length of The Last of Us Part 2’s story was under 20 hours.
Regardless, the Twitter/X user stated that things are still changing and the main story length they mentioned was based on what they had heard last year. What they essentially know is that GTA VI isn’t going to feature an 80 to 90 hour main story as some seem to think. They also stated that the game will feature “tons” of side content.
The Twitter/X user further mentioned that Rockstar Games is juggling between two major aspects of GTA VI i.e. the single-player game and the Online component. Online for both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 barely received attention until near launch. That hasn’t been the case for GTA VI, and a massive amount of resources and time have been spent on it, they said.
Previously, it was reported that the Florida Joker had called out Rockstar Games for using his likeness, as claimed by him, in the GTA VI debut trailer. He also called out those who had told him he’s “hallucinating” regarding the joker character in the GTA VI trailer being based on him, calling them wrong. He showed a side-by-side visual comparison between the character and himself, and said with certainty that the former is based on him.
