A leaker known as GameRoll, who gained attention for correctly disclosing the names of GTA VI’s protagonists weeks ahead of the game’s official trailer, has returned with further alleged insights into the upcoming Rockstar title. According to GameRoll, these new details also originate from the same source that provided the earlier character information, which adds a degree of credibility to these leaks.
One of the most notable claims is that the game will include functional shopping malls with over 700 accessible stores. If true, this would represent a major step forward in interactivity and immersion compared to previous entries in the series. GameRoll highlighted this point in multiple posts, stressing that the malls would be fully explorable, not just background scenery.
Another key detail is the rumored five-chapter story structure for GTA VI. This format suggests a more segmented narrative, possibly featuring time jumps, location changes, or shifts between character perspectives.
GameRoll also mentioned several other features and exclusions. For instance, the game reportedly won’t include a Panhandle region or a burglary system similar to past house robberies. “No burglaries,” he clarified, though he noted that many stores can still be robbed. He also mentioned the inclusion of male strippers—a minor but fitting detail given Rockstar’s history of pushing boundaries.
Interestingly, the prone position—common in many modern games—is said to be absent. GameRoll claimed that an advanced dynamic cover system was initially planned but later scrapped due to performance issues during testing. Instead, the game will reportedly use a more traditional button-based cover system.
Further gameplay details suggest players can switch between protagonists Jason and Lucia using a character-switch wheel. According to the leaker, they can be controlled individually or together in free-roam, similar to GTA V’s system but limited to just these two characters.
GameRoll’s previous leak—accurately naming Jason and Lucia as the protagonists—has lent some credibility to these claims. However, without official confirmation from Rockstar, all details remain unverified. Given Rockstar’s tight-lipped approach and history of surprise announcements, many questions may stay unanswered until closer to the game’s release.
