Granblue Fantasy: Relink is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Cygames as part of the Granblue Fantasy franchise. It is set to be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows.
Initially announced as Granblue Fantasy Project Re: Link in August 2016, the game was a collaboration between PlatinumGames and Cygames. The development team includes composers Nobuo Uematsu and Tsutomu Narita, along with artist Hideo Minaba. The PS4 was announced as the game’s lead platform. While it is set in the same fictional universe as the original Granblue Fantasy, Granblue Fantasy: Relink is set in a different location with appearances from some characters from the original game.
Gameplay was first revealed at GranBlue Fes 2017, where director Tetsuya Fukuhara shared details about the four-person cooperative multiplayer and single-player mode with three AI characters. By February 2019, PlatinumGames withdrew from the project, leaving Cygames to handle the remainder of development. Granblue Fantasy: Relink is scheduled for a demo launch and showcase on January 11, 2024. Originally slated for a 2022 release, the game was later delayed to February 1, 2024.
