God of War Ragnarok Delayed To 2023 – Report

God of War Ragnarok has been reportedly delayed to 2023 according to a report from GameReactor. They mention hearing about it from multiple retailers.

God of War Ragnarok might have received a new date internally as the game was refreshed with a release window of Q4 2022 internally. However, this might be optimistic in the current conditions based on the rumor.

GameReactor has mentioned that they have heard from multiple European retailers that the game is not coming out in 2022. It has been delayed to 2023. It was originally set to launch in 2021 for PS5 and then Sony later confirmed that it will release for both PS4 and PS5 in 2022. There is still no release date for the game.

God of War Ragnarok will see the end of the Norse Mythology saga involving Kratos and his son Atreus. The first game ended on a cliffhanger with a showoff with Thor, so that might be the starting point of this sequel.

Obviously, the delay is not official as Sony hasn’t shared anything in this regard, but if this is confirmed, then it will be the third time the game has been delayed. It will be similar to how Horizon Forbidden West received multiple delays until it eventually launched in February 2022.
