GameStop Website Potentially Leaks Customer Information Due To a Glitch

GameStop could have potentially leaked important customer details recently as reports emerge of customers being able to access others’ information.

The incident could have happened as soon as last night when a customer that was trying to purchase some products on GameStop reported that they were seeing different information on checkout rather than their own. They reported about it on Twitter, and the issue was supposedly resolved.

Other people also chimed in saying that they had seen the same glitch happening on their end.

Twitter user Wario64, who is known for being on top of the latest sales and news in the industry, shared the news as well and suggested removing credit card information just as a safety measure. While there hasn’t been any report of a customer that has faced a security breach so far, it is still better to be safe than sorry.

So if you have a GameStop account and have saved your credit card information there, make sure to remove it as a safety measure. While it is not possible to extract the whole information just from this glitch, it is still a threat nonetheless if your info was leaked this way.

This is not the first time the company has faced a security breach or glitch. It has happened in the past as well, although there hasn’t been any major incident like that happening lately.
