Gameplay Teaser For Lords Of The Fallen At The 2022 Video Game Awards

At The Game Awards 2022, developer HEXWORKS (a CI Games company) revealed the first gameplay trailer for The Lords of the Fallen, the highly anticipated AAA dark-fantasy action-RPG. Lords of the Fallen, a revival of the 2014 smash, will be released next year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and is now available to wishlist on all platforms.

The teaser video, narrated by Milly Alcock, emerging star of HBO fantasy series House of the Dragon, was captured entirely in-game and provides a first look at HEXWORKS’ dark-fantasy universe, designed especially for PC and next-generation consoles.

The Lords of the Fallen, set over a thousand years after the events of the original game, will send players on an all-new epic journey through a huge and complex world divided at its centre between the realms of the living and the dead. Players will need to travel between the two completely interconnected worlds, each with its own set of roads, side missions, NPCs, monsters, and riches.

The teaser merely teases at a portion of the arduous trek that awaits gamers as they explore this magnificently vertical universe, which is nearly five times larger than its predecessor. As they cut a bloody path through demonic hordes, undead terrors, and towering monsters, they will need to master rapid, fluid combat with a broad selection of destructive weapons and potent magic. For those who want to play side by side, the game also includes smooth online multiplayer.

“Overwhelmed by the phenomenal response to our announcement trailer, we couldn’t wait to reveal in-game footage of the concepts shown and put a spotlight on The Lord of the Fallen’s thematic and quality” said Cezar Virtosu, Creative Director at HEXWORKS. “By developing exclusively for new-generation platforms we’re able to bring the full scope and detail of our dark fantasy vision to life and look forward to revealing even more exciting things come 2023.”

Key Features:

  • A vast, interconnected world – over five times larger than the original game
  • An expansive RPG experience – a huge roster of NPCs to meet and stories to uncover
  • Tactical combat – a fast, fluid and challenging combat system
  • Devastating magic – a vast array of offensive and defensive spells to master
  • Uninterrupted online multiplayer – seamless world exploration in co-op mode
  • Define your legend – full character customisation and progression

The Lords of the Fallen is in development for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players are now able to wishlist the game on Steam and console digital stores.
