Game Freak Is Offering 4-Days Work Week and Flexible Schedule For Employees

JoelBy JoelApril 26, 2022No Comments2 Mins Read

Game Freak is offering their employees a 4-days work week for their benefits. It will help with the purpose of childcare or nursing care.

In a press release, Game Freak confirmed that they started this program in April 2022. This is not the only benefit that they are implementing for their employees. They are also allowed to have paid leave in one-hour increments and provide more flexibility for doing their job.

Here’s the excerpt from the press release sent by Game Freak.

The program targets full-time employees who are raising children of elementary school age or younger or who need to care for or provide nursing care to family members.

Game Freak has also established a staggered workday system, a paid leave system that allows employees to take paid leave in one-hour increments, and a telecommuting system. With the introduction of the “Selective 3-day workweek system,” employees will be able to work in a more flexible manner according to their individual circumstances.
We want to become an autonomous manufacturing group where each and every one of us can choose how to work at our own will. This system represents Game Freak’s desire to create a new way of working.
We will continue to evolve so that our employees can realize their full potential.

Game Freak is currently working on the next mainline Pokémon game, Pokémon Violent and Scarlet which will be out later this year for the Nintendo Switch.
