Fortnite Update 1.000.080 Patch Notes (PS5): What’s New In October 4 Update

Fortnite update 1.000.080 for PS5 is now available. This is the official 22.10 patch. The full patch notes for the update can be seen here.

This patch has a slew of new things to look forward to. You may see the changelog published below to get an overview of the problem fixes and additions included in this new update. Fortnite update 22.10 is available as patch 3.70 on PS4.

Fortnite Update 1.000.080 Patch Notes (PS5)

Here are the known issues that are pending a fix in this new update.

General

  • Players are getting a blue lobby background
  • Hair is clipping through headwear on several outfits.

Battle Royale

  • Storm notifications may appear lower than normal.
  • Reboot card may sink if eliminated in water
  • Some trees under the Chrome effect look angular
  • Some trees under the Chrome effect look angular
  • Sliding can cause flashing colors to appear while pointing the camera downwards
  • Phasing through Chrome areas at the Heralds Sanctum
  • Fire VFX appears to last on Chromed building pieces
  • VFX can persist after being eliminated in the vortex
  • Hype overlaps with Overshield in Zero Build Arena.
  • Opening the Map or Quests while using Split-screen causes the 2nd player’s view to turn black.
  • Low render quality objects appearing on Starter island
  • Players may be sent back to the initial location when exiting a vehicle

Creative

  • Items spawned via the Item Placer are not counted by the Player Tracker
  • Menu options on some devices will not open after exiting to the hub and reentering the Island
  • Glass Galleries do not show placement when copying and cutting them on Islands
  • Prop Movers can’t always be reactivated in a round

Save The World

  • Trap tiles may not disable when building over them
  • Rescue Survivors
  • The screen flashes white when R.O.S.I.E. is fired at or around the player
  • Hexsylvania Lobby music not playing
  • Deliver the Bomb mission
