Final Fantasy XVI Is Exclusive To PS5 With No PC Port At Launch

Final Fantasy XVI was just announced with a Summer 2023 release window and many were left wondering if this will come to PC at any point.

When the game was first revealed, it was shown with a trailer that had a watermark mentioning that it is from a development build that is running on a PC simulating the PS5 experience. This was thought to be a hint that the game might launch on PC along with the PS5.

However, when the trailer ended, it simply called the game a PS5 console exclusive. This wording was clear to indicate that while it might not launch on other consoles like Xbox, it will eventually come to PC. However, there is no indication right now that this is the case.

Now that the release window has been revealed, the official website has been updated to make it clear that the game is only coming to the PS5.

In a message shared by the Final Fantasy XVI producer, it was hinted that they are leveraging the hardware advantage of the PS5 to offer a seamless, story-driven game.

Final Fantasy XVI will be available for the PS5 and it is targeting a launch in Summer 2023.
