Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida has expressed an interest in getting a demo of the game out before its official launch in Summer 2023.
Yoshida talked about this in a new interview with the Japanese publication Dengeki Online in which he mentioned that they are in the final stages of the development.
“The next information release is scheduled for the fall, and we are in the process of preparing the next trailer, ” said Yoshida. “The next trailer will be more focused on the worldview and story. We are also planning to have the director, Mr. Takai, and the lead game designer and scenario writer, Mr. Maehiro, talk about the game in more depth.”
“After that, we plan to introduce how the battles, which are divided into three scales, will be connected and the scale of the battles.”
He then mentioned that they would like to offer a demo version of Final Fantasy XVI to the public, but they are not sure if it is possible by next year.
“At the very least, we would like to offer a demo version of the game. We are still in the process of planning for the new year, so I can’t say for sure, but we would like to offer the media an opportunity to experience the feel of the battles at some event or other.”
Final Fantasy XVI was recently shown again and was confirmed to launch exclusively on the PS5 in Summer 2023.
