Final Fantasy XV Has Sold More Than 10 Million Copies Worldwide

Square Enix has confirmed that the sales of Final Fantasy XV have passed the 10 million mark. The game was released in November 2016.

Final Fantasy XV was initially available for PS4 and Xbox One. It was later ported to PC as well where the game has reportedly sold more than a million copies. It is also available on the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices but with a completely different version of the game that has downgraded graphics and gameplay, albeit with the same story.

The game was directed by Hajima Tabata under the Luminous Productions banner at Square Enix. They are working on Forspoken as their next project while Tabata has left the studio to establish his own.

FFXV was last reported at a little over 9 million copies sold last year so this new milestone appears to have been achieved recently. It was reported by the official Final Fantasy XV Japan Twitter account. This sales number applies to the copies sold worldwide.
