Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series Launches on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch

SQUARE ENIX announced today that the popular Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series, previously exclusive to Steam and mobile platforms, is now available digitally for PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Nintendo Switch. The series includes Final Fantasy I through Final Fantasy VI, offering a blend of original magic and quality-of-life upgrades while staying true to the retro design of these classic RPGs.

The PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series feature unique elements, such as the option to switch between rearranged and original-based soundtracks and a choice of in-game fonts—players can select the default font or a pixel-based font. Additionally, PS4 and Nintendo Switch users can enjoy expanded gameplay options, including disabling random encounters and adjusting experience gained multipliers between 0 and 4.

All six titles in the series can be purchased digitally, either individually or as part of the Final Fantasy I-VI Bundle, from the PlayStation Store or Nintendo eShop. Players who purchase the individual game(s) before May 25, 2023, will receive two themed wallpapers on Nintendo Switch or a theme and avatar on PS4, based on the purchased game(s). Those who purchase the complete series in the Final Fantasy I-VI Bundle by May 25, 2023, will receive all 12 themed wallpapers on Nintendo Switch or all six themes and six avatars included with the individual games on PS4.

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series is also available on Steam, the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon App Store as part of the Final Fantasy I-VI Bundle.
