Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree Release Date Possibly Revealed Via Steam Database Activity

The release date for the upcoming DLC for Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware’s Elden Ring, titled Shadow of the Erdtree, has possibly been reveled.

According to Steam database activity, it appears that the release date for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree may have been revealed. The DLC section of the game is now on dev-debug and dev-release. It is also undergoing quality assurance for debug and release.

Going by the pattern followed by other games undergoing QA, the entire process takes 14 days. This suggests that Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree may be set for release on February 16, 2024.  Whether that will actually be the case remains to be seen, though the theory does hold some weight based on the Steam database activity pertaining to Elden Ring’s DLC.

This isn’t the first we’ve heard of Elden Ring’s expansion arriving in February, 2024. Multiple other sources had previously indicated that Shadow of the Erdtree may be set for release in February, 2024. C

The new eSwap controller is set to launch in February 2024, coinciding with the release date of Shadow of the Erdtree. The promotional material hinted at the possibility of a DLC expansion or a “keybeat” for the game in 2025. Content creator Ziostorm, who shares Elden Ring related content, had also mentioned that based on what they’ve heard from their sources, Shadow of the Erdtree is set for release on February 5, 2024.

Elden Ring was developed by FromSoftware, published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, and directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, with worldbuilding contributions from George R. R. Martin. The game is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Players create a character and embark on a quest to repair the Elden Ring and become the new Elden Lord. The player character’s steed Torrent serves as the primary mode of travel through the game’s six main regions.
