Developer Techland has shared the first look at Dying Light 2 running on the PS4 and Xbox One. They also showed PS4 Pro and Xbox One X footage.
The footage appears to showcase how well the game runs on the last-generation consoles, and the answer is, pretty damn well. If you don’t believe us, just take a look at the official footage shown below.
Techland hasn’t shared any details on the resolution and frame rate for Dying Light 2 on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. If we go by their past trends, we might have an idea of what resolution the game is running at on these consoles.
Based on the trends, it is safe to assume that they might be using a dynamic resolution scaling technique to get this up and running on the PS4 and Xbox One. The same should apply to the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions.
The game could be running at a dynamic 900p resolution on the Xbox One and dynamic 1080p resolution on the PS4. It could be bumped up to dynamic 1440p on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. As for the frame rate, it could be running at 30 FPS and this much is obvious from the footage.
