First early access update, Dunes and Moons, for Stranded: Alien Dawn is out now for PC and can be played through Steam.
Desertum, a magnificent yet cruel new biome, is now available to players. Budding survivalists will be able to put their talents to the ultimate test with their own unique obstacles as well as rich natural flora and animals. Sora Satoh, a new survivor, will also be an asset to any marooned group due to her enhanced combat skills and ability to withstand extreme temperatures.
Furthermore, three new moons, Jason, Nyx, and Chaos, each have an influence on gameplay events, and two new difficulty levels will challenge even the most experienced players.
Stranded: Alien Dawn is now available on PC via Steam for the suggested retail price of £24.99/$29.99/€29.99, with even more gripping content to come throughout early access.
Here are the details for this new content.
Early access players can now explore the Desertum biome, a new alien environment that will put your group of marooned survivors to the test. Desertum’s rocky, orange-hued landscape will present a unique challenge for you, with scarce plant life and soil quality requiring a strategic approach to ensure your survivors can truly thrive. With its own native flora and fauna, as well as unpredictable weather events including dust storms, you must utilise the resources within Desertum to make it through the wet and dry seasons to transform your crash site into a bustling base.
Alongside a striking new biome, you can add a new survivor, Sora Satoh, to your group as part of the update. Her difficult past has hardened her to the heatwaves and cold snaps of Desertum, while enhanced combat skills may prove vital during attacks from deadly alien wildlife such as the reptilian Tecatli, which pose additional threats to survival.
Three new moons will also be gracing the skies of Stranded: Alien Dawn as part of the update, each with a distinct impact on gameplay. The presence of Jason provides survivors with plenty of adversity, but offers ample time for them to prepare and recover from events; Nyx influences wildlife to attack more frequently during the hours of darkness; while Chaos lives up to its namesake, with unpredictable events all-but-guaranteed.
