Gamers can now delve into the supernatural world of PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo, Square Enix’s latest single-player supernatural mystery-adventure game. The game was released on Nintendo Switch™, PC via Steam®, iOS, and Android on March 9th, 2023.
Set in Tokyo’s Sumida City during the Showa Period, PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is a 2D visual novel that brings to life the bone-chilling Seven Mysteries of Honjo ghost stories, inspired by real-world Japanese urban legends. Players will take on the role of cursed characters as they explore the mysterious areas of the city, solve puzzles and find clues to unravel the seven deadly curses.
The game’s multi-layered story centers around several protagonists who possess the “power of curses,” and players will have to master control of their own powers while working out how to avoid falling prey to the predations of those held by others during this supernatural ordeal. At night, players will have to hunt or be hunted by other curse bearers.
Composer Hidenori Iwasaki’s original digital soundtrack for the game will be available for players to enjoy from March 16th.
