Deathloop developer Arkane Lyon is set to announce its next title at The Game Awards 2023, based on the latest rumor.

Well-known insider NatetheHate, who has shared several credible rumors in the past, took to Reddit to share that, as per his sources, the next game from Deathloop developer, Arkane Lyon, will be announced at The Game Awards 2023.

Nate did not share any further details regarding the game, however. If it is indeed set to be revealed at The Game Awards 2023, it could end up being a brand new IP or a sequel to Deathloop or Dishonored. The studio specializes in first-person stealth action games, so this unannounced title is expected to belong to the same genre, even if it is a new IP.

In related news, The Game Awards producer and host Geoff Keighely had mentioned during a recent Q&A session that this year’s show will feature a higher number of new game reveals compared to past shows. It’s due to this reason that he is teasing fewer games ahead of the show this time around. He also mentioned that the show will run roughly 2.5 to 3 hours.

Earlier this month, Keighley took to social media to reveal the 2023 nominees for a variety of categories, including overall Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Score and Music, Best Audio Design, Best Performance, Innovation in Accessibility, Games for Impact, and more.

Nominated for Best Game are Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2, Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3, Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Capcom’s Resident Evil 4, Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. Wonder and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Meanwhile, nominations for Best Performance are Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI), Cameron Monaghan (Star Wars: Jedi Survivor), Idris Elba (Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty), Melanie Liburd (Alan Wake 2), Neil Newbon (Baldur’s Gate 3), and Yuri Lowenthal (Marvel’s Spider-Man 2). In the category of Most Anticipated Game, the games nominated are Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Hades II, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Star Wars Outlaws, and Tekken 8.
