Concept art for PlayStation first-party studio Bluepoint Games’ unannounced high fantasy title has allegedly been leaked.

The leaked concept art for Bluepoint Games’ unannounced high fantasy title was revealed as part of a Sony Interactive Entertainment data breach that has lifted the curtains off several of the publisher’s upcoming projects, including Insomniac Games’ future roadmap.

The project is labeled as “Original Content” in the leak, indicating that it isn’t a remaster or a remake of an existing title. The high fantasy setting seen in the concept art is in line with some job listings from 2021, which sought art related candidates with design knowledge for a particular armor and weapon.

Bluepoint Games’ most recent title, Demon’s Souls, a 2020 action role-playing game, that was released in November as a launch title for the PlayStation 5. It is a remake of the 2009 title of the same name, which was developed by FromSoftware for the PlayStation 3. Japan Studio contributed to its development, marking Demon’s Souls as its final game before merging with Team Asobi. Critics praised the game for its gameplay, visuals, technical aspects, and improvements over the original.

The game introduces new weapons, armor, rings, and items known as “Grains,” providing temporary resistance to effects like poison, fire, and bleeding. Similar to the original, players face limitations on carrying capacity, though adjustments have been made to the encumbrance system. In the original, healing grasses had no weight, allowing players to carry numerous; in the remake, these items now have weight, reducing the amount players can carry, with more potent grasses being heavier. A new feature, “Fractured World,” serves as a mirror mode, reversing the layout of environments. Additionally, a photo mode has been included, allowing players to pause the game, a feature absent in the original. Filters from the photo mode can be applied during gameplay, including a “classic mode” filter that recreates the appearance of the original PlayStation 3 game.
