Cats on Duty Prologue Gets Festive Update and Quality-of-Life Improvements

SDigital and Prikol Team are spreading holiday joy with a special Christmas update for the free playable prologue of ‘Cats on Duty’, available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. This festive update brings new features and enhancements to the game, ensuring a more enjoyable experience for players.

Holiday-Themed Updates and Improvements:

  • The game now sports a holiday-themed user interface, adding to the festive atmosphere.
  • Game locations have been refined for a better visual and gameplay experience.
  • Some enemies will now be donning Santa hats, adding a seasonal twist to battles.
  • The battle cat mechanics have been improved for a smoother play.
  • The travel map has been upgraded for better navigation.
  • Cards will continue recharging even when the game is slowed down.
  • UI animations have been enhanced for a more delightful experience.
  • Fixed issues with gamepad-controlled cursor navigating through the interface.
  • Various game balancing improvements have been implemented.

The Steam Prologue of ‘Cats on Duty’ includes the entire first chapter, spread over 10 captivating levels, each offering unique challenges and showcasing different game features. The prologue also features a minigame and a full boss fight.

‘Party Pirates’ also offers a co-op mode where one player focuses on the tile-matching field to win resources for recruiting and upgrading battle cats, while the other builds a line of defense. This mode can be easily activated or deactivated from the start menu or during gameplay.

With ‘cat’ and ‘kitten’ difficulty levels, players can adjust the game’s challenge to match their skills or mood. Plus, Prologue save files can be carried over into the main game, allowing players to continue from where they left off or start anew.

Cats on Duty is a blend of real-time strategy, tower defense, and match-3 mechanics. The game features heavily armed battle-hardened cat veterans defending their homeland against evil forces. Players can utilize a variety of cat characters, each with unique abilities, to engage in combat against various enemies. The game offers a mix of tactical tower defense, match-3 gameplay, and customizable squads, set in a world of charming pixel-cat graphics.

‘Cats on Duty’ is set to release for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation, Xbox consoles, and Nintendo Switch in early 2024. The game can be wishlisted now on Steam and PlayStation.
