Battlefield 2042 beta is expected to be officially announced later this week. The release date of the beta has been reportedly leaked ahead of the announcement.
The announcement for the beta was found on the Chinese video site Bilibili. It is the equivalent of YouTube in China. They have an official page for Battlefield 2042 and some of the fans were able to spot a listing for the beta on the page.
We have been hearing the rumors of the beta happening around early October so this is an unofficial confirmation that the rumors were true. While EA hasn’t announced the date yet, the popular Battlefield and Call of Duty leaker, Tom Henderson has stated that they might reveal it soon.

Looks like the #BATTLEFIELD Beta announcement (with trailer) is scheduled for Wednesday.
It's unclear if the Bilibili leak will force them to release the trailer or not tomorrow though.

Based on the listing on the official bilibili page for BF2042, the beta might start on October 6th and end on October 9th. This will make the beta take place just one month before the official launch of the game. There will likely be an open and closed beta for the game just like Call of Duty Vanguard.
Battlefield 2042 was originally set to launch in October but its release date was pushed back to November. It will be out on November 19, 2021, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
