Bandai Namco Releases Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster for PC

Bandai Namco has officially released Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster for PC via Steam. This release brings the acclaimed Nintendo GameCube franchise to a new generation of players with enhanced visual fidelity and updated gameplay features while preserving the core elements that defined the original games.

For a limited time, players can access the Month-1 edition, which includes exclusive concept art, character designs, and development documents. This special edition will be available until July 17, 2024. After this date, the Standard edition of the game will become available.

The Baten Kaitos series is renowned for its distinctive Magnus Battle System, a card-based mechanic that requires players to draw cards from a deck to determine attack power based on the attributes and combinations of available cards. Real-time battles demand quick decision-making to secure victory. Players assume the role of the Guardian Spirit, guiding the protagonist and their companions through unique adventures in each game.

Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean follows the journey of Kalas, who seeks revenge for the deaths of his brother and grandfather. During his quest, he meets Xelha, and together they embark on a mission to thwart the Alfard Empire.

Baten Kaitos Origins serves as a prequel, set 20 years before the events of the first game. It centers on Sagi, a spiriter connected to Guardian Spirits and a member of the Alfard Empire’s elite Dark Service unit. After being framed, Sagi sets out to clear his name and uncover the empire’s secrets.

In addition to its release on Steam, Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster is also available on the Nintendo Switch.
