Assassin’s Creed Mirage Will Be Cross-Generation Release, Story and Gameplay Details Leaked

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the next game in the franchise and it is another cross-generation release. Some of its story and gameplay details have leaked online.

Tom Henderson, who has been the source of multiple leaks in the past, has revealed the official store description for Assassin’s Creed Mirage which among other things confirms that the game is set in Baghdad and will be a cross-generation launch across PS4 and PS5.

Here is the description that was shared by Tom Henderson.

– Experience a modern take on the iconic features and gameplay that have defined a franchise for 15 years.
– Parkour seamlessly through the city and stealthily take down targets with more visceral assassinations than ever before.
– Explore an incredibly dense and vibrant city whose inhabitants react to your every move, and uncover the secrets of four unique districts as you venture through the Golden Age of Baghdad.

If you already own the PS4™ version of this game, you can get the PS5™ digital version at no extra cost and you do not need to purchase this product. Owners of a PS4™ disc copy must insert it into the PS5™ every time they want to download or play the PS5™ digital version. PS4™ game disc owners who buy the PS5™ Digital Edition disc-free console will not be able to get the PS5™ version at no extra cost.

Just like the previous Ubisoft games, this one is a cross-generation release that will be available for both PS4 and PS5 users. There is no upgrade fee for the next-generation consoles so if the user purchases it on the PS4, they will get the PS5 version and vice versa. This also applies to the Xbox One and Xbox Series versions which use Smart Delivery to download the version of the game that is suitable for the platform.

Parkour will be the main focus again based on the game description. The city has been described as dense with NPCs that will react to the player. There will be four districts in Baghdad for the players to traverse.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be officially revealed on September 10 during Ubisoft Forward.
