Twitter user , who is known for being a diehard Xbox fan, had shared a screenshot of their Metacritic user score for the PlayStation console exclusive. They gave HELLDIVERS 2 a score of zero and stated that their “part” was done, suggesting that Xbox fans may be collectively review bombing the game.
Helldivers 2 is an online tactical third-person shooter that is developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, and it is scheduled for release for the PS5 and PC on February 8, 2024. Serving as the sequel to the 2015’s Helldivers, the game is set in a satirical futuristic world dominated by the “managed democracy” of Super Earth.
It received an M rating from the ESRB for “blood and gore” and “intense violence”. On 14 September 2023, gameplay was showcased during a PlayStation State of Play event, revealing the official release date of 8 February 2024. The game’s pre-orders opened on 22 September 2023. Unlike its predecessor, Helldivers 2 opts for a third-person shooter format.
