Alan Wake and Control creator Sam Lake has teased his involvement in a project from Kojima Productions over social media.

Same Lake, the creative mind behind the Alan Wake and Control series, took to TikTok to share that he was having coffee after being scanned for a video game at Kojima Productions. He didn’t mention any details regarding the project, however. For what it’s worth, Lake did seem to be enjoying his cup of coffee.

As for whether this is for Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Death Stranding 2: On The Beach or Xbox Game Studios’ OD is anyone’s guess. Kojima Productions had scanned several known figures in the game industry for use in the original Death Stranding, so it’s likely that the same will happen with the sequel.

As for what Sam Lake and Remedy Entertainment have in store for fans, the studio’s next project is none other than Control 2 and a multiplayer game set in the Control universe codenamed Condor. In a recent post on its official website, the studio revealed that it has come to an agreement with 505 Games after which all publishing, distribution, marketing and other rights to Control, codename Condor, Control 2, and all future Control products will revert to Remedy. As per Remedy Entertainment, the Control franchise is in the studio’s core. Having acquired the full rights to Control, Condor and Control 2, Remedy stated that it is now in a position to make the right product and business decisions focusing on long-term franchise growth.

The purchase price for the transaction is approximately EUR 17 million, which matches what 505 Games has invested in the development of codename Condor and Control 2, plus a slight premium. Remedy has the right to offset certain receivables from this amount, meaning the actual cash flow impact will be lower. The company will make three cash payments for the net purchase price over the course of the next year.
